5月25日，海南医科大学西英格兰学院在大学生中心演播大厅开展首期“Studying to Study”—英语演讲训练营活动。本次活动旨在助力同学们提升英语口语表达与演讲水平，特邀我校中外合作办学康复专业负责人陈云强博士亲临现场指导。
On May 25, the UWEC of HNMU hosted its inaugural "Studying to Study" – English Public Speaking Training Camp at the University Student Center's Lecture Hall. This event aimed to help students enhance their spoken English proficiency and public speaking skills. Dr. Chen Yunqiang, Head of the Rehabilitation Program under the university's Sino-foreign cooperative education initiative, was invited to provide on-site guidance.
活动现场，来自西英格兰学院的5位同学围绕“ …… is my topic concern”这一主题展开激情演讲。他们演讲内容丰富多元，观点独到新颖，充分展现了扎实的语言功底和对社会问题的深度思考，赢得阵阵掌声。
At the event, five students from the UWEC of HNMU delivered passionate speeches centered around the theme "… is my topic concern." Their speeches covered a wide range of topics and presented original, insightful perspectives, showcasing their solid language skills and deep reflection on social issues – earning enthusiastic applause from the audience.
演讲结束后，进入Q&A环节。陈博士进一步引导同学们深入思考，他指出演讲主题背后所蕴含的学术逻辑与社会关联，引导大家从不同学科视角去剖析问题，拓宽了大家的视野，让同学们对演讲主题有了更立体、更深入的认知。随后，陈博士对同学们的表现进行了精准点评，从、时间把控、内容逻辑、语言准确性、表达流畅度以及肢体语言运用等多个维度展开分析，既肯定了同学们的优点，也指出了需要改进的地方。
Following the speech, the event moved on to the Q&A session. Dr. Chen further encouraged the students to engage in deeper reflection by highlighting the academic rationale and societal relevance underlying the speech topic, prompting them to analyze the issue from diverse disciplinary perspectives. This approach broadened their horizons and enabled them to develop a more comprehensive and nuanced understanding of the subject matter. Subsequently, Dr. Chen provided precise feedback on the students' performance, conducting an analysis across multiple dimensions—including time management, content logic, linguistic accuracy, expressive fluency, and the use of body language—while acknowledging their strengths and identifying areas for improvement.
最后，陈博士结合实际案例，系统讲授了演讲技巧，包括演讲前的准备工作、如何吸引听众注意力、怎样运用故事和数据增强说服力等实用要点。同学们听得津津有味，对演讲有了更全面、更深刻的认识。
Finally, Dr. Chen delivered a systematic talk on public speaking techniques using real-world case studies, covering practical aspects such as preparation before a speech, how to capture the audience's attention, and how to use stories and data to enhance persuasiveness. The students listened with great interest and gained a more comprehensive and deeper understanding of public speaking.
此次活动依托“一站式”学生社区平台，为同学们搭建了展示自我的舞台。通过专业指导，同学们切实提升了英语演讲能力，纷纷表示对英文演讲有了更清晰的认知，对未来的学习和表达也更有信心了。期待后续更多精彩活动！
This event, hosted through the "One-Stop" Student Community Platform, provided students with a stage to showcase their talents. With professional guidance, the students significantly enhanced their English public speaking skills; many expressed a clearer understanding of English public speaking and greater confidence in their future academic and communication endeavors.
