12月1日，海南医科大学医学卷轴凤凰广场沉浸在一片文化交融的热烈氛围中，海南医科大学第二届国际文化节正式开幕。
本届国际文化节以“‘医’路同行，文化共融”为主题，旨在通过文化展示与交流，增进学生对世界各国文化的了解，共同探索医学与文化的交融之美，为培养具有国际竞争力的医学人才打下坚实基础。省教育厅、团省委、省教育国际交流协会和海口市相关单位负责人，海南医科大学副校长张彩虹、各职能部门和二级学院负责人等出席开幕式。活动现场，来自中国、巴基斯坦、加纳、俄罗斯、印度尼西亚等33个国家的上千名中外师生齐聚一堂，共享文化交流盛宴。
On December 1st, immersed in a vibrant atmosphere of cultural integration, the 2nd International Cultural Festival of Hainan Medical University officially opened at the Medical Scroll Phoenix Square.
Themed "'Medical' Journey Together, Cultural Integration," this year's International Cultural Festival aims to enhance students' understanding of world cultures through cultural exhibitions and exchanges. It seeks to jointly explore the beauty of the integration between medicine and culture, laying a solid foundation for cultivating medical talents with international competitiveness. Leaders from the Provincial Department of Education, the Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League, the Provincial Education International Exchange Association, and relevant units of Haikou City, along with Zhang Caihong, Vice President of Hainan Medical University, and heads of various functional departments and secondary colleges, attended the opening ceremony. At the event, thousands of Chinese and foreign teachers and students from 33 countries, including China, Pakistan, Ghana, Russia, and Indonesia, gathered to share this grand feast of cultural exchange.

Vice President Zhang Caihong delivered the opening speech. She stated that Hainan Medical University attaches great importance to international exchange and cooperation. The International Cultural Festival showcases the new development and fresh vitality of the university's internationalization construction. She hopes that young Chinese and foreign students will join hands to tell the stories of HMU, Hainan, and China, actively contributing their youthful energy to building a high-level, internationalized medical university with distinct tropical characteristics, and promoting the exchange and mutual learning between Chinese civilization and world cultures!

开幕式活动精彩纷呈。海南琼剧基本功展示《琼韵梨园》与中国传统戏剧《变脸》的巧妙结合拉开了活动序幕，来自印度尼西亚、加拿大、加纳、赞比亚等7个国家的留学生与海南省琼剧团的老师共同演绎中国非遗文化，点燃活动现场气氛；融入了丰富国际元素的非洲鼓、印度尼西亚歌舞、尼泊尔舞蹈、阿拉伯歌曲等表演，充分展现了各国文化的独特魅力；体现中国56个民族大融合的舞蹈《欢迎您》、中国传统养生功法《八段锦》、传承和弘扬医学精神的朗诵《大医精诚》、海南传统民歌《久久不见久久见》等表演，无不体现“文化因交流而多彩，文化因互鉴而丰富”的理念。
The opening ceremony was splendid and diverse. The clever combination of the Hainan Qiong Opera basic skills display "Qiongyun Liyuan" （琼韵梨园）and the traditional Chinese drama "Face-changing" kicked off the event. International students from seven countries, including Indonesia, Canada, Ghana, and Zambia, performed Chinese intangible cultural heritage alongside teachers from the Hainan Qiong Opera Troupe, electrifying the atmosphere of the event. Performances incorporating rich international elements, such as African drums, Indonesian singing and dancing, Nepalese dancing, and Arabic songs, fully demonstrated the unique charm of various national cultures. The dance "Welcome," reflecting the great integration of China's 56 ethnic groups, the traditional Chinese health-preserving exercise "Baduanjin," the recitation "Great Physician's Sincerity" inheriting and promoting the medical spirit, and the traditional Hainan folk song "Long Time No See" all embodied the concept that "culture is colorful because of exchange, and rich because of mutual learning."

开幕式结束前的各国服装秀表演将晚会推向了高潮。留学生们身着各自国家的传统特色民族服饰，以优雅的步伐和自信的姿态，展示各国多彩文化和服饰之美，共同呈现世界文化的多元和交融。
The international fashion show before the end of the opening ceremony pushed the gala to its climax. International students, dressed in the traditional ethnic costumes of their respective countries, showcased the beauty of colorful cultures and costumes with elegant steps and confident postures, jointly presenting the diversity and integration of world cultures.
国际文化节开幕式还设置了18个国际展台，共有33个国家的学生参与各国传统服饰、手工艺品、特色美食等的文化展示。黎锦、琼剧、针灸推拿和中国传统器乐等中国传统文化的展位前观者如市。
The opening ceremony of the International Cultural Festival also featured 18 international booths, with students from 33 countries participating in cultural displays of traditional costumes, handicrafts, and specialty foods. Crowds flocked to the booths showcasing Chinese traditional culture, such as Li Brocade, Qiong Opera, acupuncture and massage, and traditional Chinese instrumental music.
海南大学、海南师范大学、琼台师范学院和海南热带海洋学院等兄弟院校的师生代表也受邀参加了此次开幕式表演和展位活动。
据悉，此次国际文化节由“传统文化进社区·留学生唱琼剧”、志愿服务公益周活动、国际学生十佳歌手比赛、主题展位活动、开幕式暨迎新活动以及青年论坛与对话等6个活动板块组成，后续精彩活动持续进行中。
未来，海南医科大学将继续秉持开放包容的理念，加强与国际社会的交流与合作，不断提升“留学海医”品牌的国际影响力，为培养具有全球视野和跨文化交流能力的国际医学人才贡献力量。
Teacher and student representatives from sister institutions, including Hainan University, Hainan Normal University, Qiongtai Normal University, and Hainan Tropical Ocean University, were also invited to participate in the opening ceremony performances and booth activities.
It is reported that this International Cultural Festival consists of six event segments: "Traditional Culture in Communities: International Students Singing Qiong Opera," Volunteer Service Public Welfare Week, International Students Top 10 Singers Competition, Themed Booth Activities, Opening Ceremony & Orientation Activities, and Youth Forums and Dialogues. Follow-up exciting activities are ongoing.
In the future, Hainan Medical University will continue to uphold the concept of openness and inclusiveness, strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the international community, continuously enhance the international influence of the "Study at HMU" brand, and contribute to the cultivation of international medical talents with global perspectives and cross-cultural communication capabilities.
