为推动 “学在海南 = 留学国外” 教育品牌建设，吸引海南高中学子扎根琼州热土、逐梦医学殿堂，4 月25 日，海南医科大学成功举办中外合作办学本科项目校园开放日活动。本次活动由海南医科大学主办、西英格兰学院承办，以国际化办学特色为窗口，为学子们架起直通国际医学教育的立体桥梁，开启 “本土求学、全球视野” 的全新可能。
To further the educational brand initiative "Studying in Hainan Equals Studying Abroad" and to encourage high school students in Hainan to pursue their medical aspirations on this tropical island, Hainan Medical University successfully hosted a Campus Open Day for its Sino-foreign jointly operated undergraduate programs on April 25. Organized by Hainan Medical University and hosted by its UWEC of HNMU, the event leveraged the University's internationally oriented educational features as a window, offering students a multidimensional pathway to international medical education and unlocking new possibilities of "local education with a global perspective."
活动当日，海口市几所高级中学师生代表相聚在海南医科大学城西校区，共赴一场医学教育与国际视野交融的探索之旅。随着活动拉开帷幕，学生们在引导员带领下开启深度校园体验：在校史馆中回溯海医发展历程，于图书馆内沉浸书香氛围，探秘智能医学数据中心感受前沿科技脉动，走进大学生活动中心，体验大学生一站式便捷服务。沉浸式的参观体验，不仅让学生领略到海医深厚的历史底蕴，更直观感受到“医学 + 科技 + 人文”多元融合的创新实践魅力。
On the day of the event, groups of teachers and students from several senior high schools in Haikou gathered at the Chengxi Campus of Hainan Medical University, embarking on an exploratory journey that intertwines medical education with international vision. As the event commenced, students were guided on an immersive campus tour: they explored the University's history at the museum, immersed themselves in the scholarly atmosphere of the library, experienced cutting-edge technological applications at the Smart Medical Data Center, and visited the Student Activity Center to explore its one-stop convenient services. This immersive experience not only allowed the students to appreciate the profound historical legacy of Hainan Medical University but also provided them with a direct glimpse into the innovative and integrative practices that combine "medicine, technology, and humanities."

The "Sustainable Development" English Competition featuring students from UWEC of HNMU emerged as a highlight of the Campus Open Day experience. First- and second-year students from the College assumed the role of "acting as youth ambassadors with an international outlook," delivering creative project presentations in English on global sustainable development issues. Visiting high school students, equipped with real-time voting devices, actively participated as public judges. In the process of casting their votes for preferred proposals, they were able to fully appreciate the exceptional aptitude of Hainan Medical University students in seamlessly integrating professional knowledge with English expression, while also gaining an up-close experience of the University's vibrant academic and innovative atmosphere.

The interactive session witnessed an extraordinarily lively atmosphere. In response to questions posed by the faculty, the visiting students eagerly raised their hands and answered with remarkable fluency, fully demonstrating their accurate understanding of the University's educational mission, development trajectory, and strategic priorities. Through this lively Q&A session, participants gradually gained a clear and comprehensive understanding of the core offerings, including the distinctive curriculum system, the internationally oriented teaching model, the diverse range of academic programs, and the admission requirements. This in-depth face-to-face communication proved to be highly illuminating, effectively resolving the students' uncertainties regarding undergraduate major selection and international education pathways, while also embedding the University's educational philosophy—"Studying in Hainan Equals Studying Abroad"—firmly in their minds.
