2026年6月29日，海南医科大学西英格兰学院2026届硕士毕业典礼暨学位授予仪式在城西校区立言厅隆重举行。从2023年首批硕士和本科学生入学至今，海南医科大学中外合作办学事业从初创探索到走向成熟稳健又向前迈进一个阶梯，为中英两国的医学教育与文化交流培养了一批具有国际视野和专业素养的高层次卫生健康人才。而今，又一批西英学子圆满完成学业，带着师长的嘱托与同窗的情谊，即将奔赴更广阔的天地。
On 29 June 2026, the 2026 Master’s Graduation and Degree Congregation Ceremony of the UWEC was grandly held in Liyan Hall, Chengxi Campus. Since the first intake of master’s and undergraduate students enrolled back in 2023, the Sino-British collaborative education programme at Hainan Medical University has advanced another significant stage, evolving from initial pioneering development to steady, mature operation. It has cultivated a cohort of high-calibre healthcare professionals with global vision and solid professional expertise, boosting medical education and cultural exchange between China and the United Kingdom. Now, another cohort of UWEC students have successfully completed their postgraduate studies. Bearing the expectations of their faculty and the camaraderie of their peers, they are ready to step out into a broader world.
出席典礼的嘉宾和领导有：英国西英格兰大学副校长Yvonne Beach、国际事务总监Ray Priest、中国区经理Frank Yan，海南医科大学副校长曾敏，学校相关职能部门及二级单位负责人，各专业负责人和教师代表。西英格兰学院领导班子和全体教师和学生代表参加了毕业典礼。毕业典礼由西英格兰学院教师Sherry Yang、赵威宇共同主持。
Distinguished guests and university leaders in attendance included: Professor Yvonne Beach, Vice-Chancellor of the University of the West of England (UWE); Ray Priest, Director of International Affairs; Frank Yan, China Regional Manager; Zeng Min, Vice President of Hainan Medical University (HNMU); heads of relevant functional departments and secondary colleges of HNMU, as well as programme leaders and faculty representatives.The full leadership team, all academic staff and student representatives of the UWEC attended the ceremony. The graduation event was co-hosted by Sherry Yang and Zhao Weiyu, lecturers of the UWEC.

At 15:00, the ceremony kicked off with a highlight video featuring the Class of 2026 master’s graduates. Heartwarming footage captured precious moments from the students’ time on campus, every frame holding unique youthful memories exclusive to this cohort.Familiar scenes stirred up nostalgia among all graduates present. Many were moved to tears, enveloping the entire venue in a warm, touching atmosphere.
英国西英格兰大学副校长Yvonne Beach致辞。她向全体毕业生表示热烈祝贺，对大家在学业上的坚持与努力给予充分肯定。她指出，两校的合作始终致力于让更多学生能够接受国际认可的高质量教育，而本届毕业生的优异成绩正是这一合作成果的最好证明。她寄语毕业生们带着在中英双方院校收获的知识与能力，在全球卫生健康领域发光发热，成为推动医学进步与国际合作的中坚力量。
Professor Yvonne Beach, Vice-Chancellor of the University of the West of England (UWE), delivered an address. She extended her warm congratulations to all graduates and fully recognised their perseverance and dedication throughout their studies.She noted that the partnership between the two universities has long strived to enable more students to access high-quality, internationally recognised education, and the outstanding academic achievements of this graduating cohort stand as the finest testament to the success of this collaboration.She offered her parting message to the graduates, encouraging them to draw on the knowledge and capabilities gained from both Chinese and British institutions, thrive within the global healthcare sector, and grow into key figures advancing medical progress and international cooperation.
西英格兰学院副院长万江花宣读2026届硕士学位授予名单。在庄严的乐声中，学位授予仪式正式开始，毕业生们身着学位服，依次上台接受学位证书与拨穗，并与授位导师握手合影。这一刻，是对他们在西英两年勤奋求学的最好见证。
Wan Jianghua, Vice Dean of UWEC, read out the official degree conferral list for the 2026 master’s graduates. Amid solemn ceremonial music, the degree conferral ceremony officially began. Dressed in full academic regalia, the graduates proceeded to the stage in turn to receive their degree certificates, undergo the traditional hooding ritual, and exchange handshakes and group photos with the conferring faculty members.
随后，第三联合党委书记张万科宣读2026届硕士毕业生奖学金名单，表彰在学业成绩、科研创新、社会服务等方面表现突出的优秀学子。获奖毕业生们表示，这份荣誉是学院的认可，更是未来前行的动力，激励着所有西英学子不断追求卓越。
Subsequently, Zhang Wanke, Secretary of the Third United Party Committee, read out the scholarship list for the 2026 master’s graduates, commending outstanding students who excelled in academic performance, scientific research innovation and social services. Award-winning graduates said this honour is recognition from the College and motivation for future progress, inspiring all UWEC students to strive for excellence.
来自2024级公共卫生硕士班的周臻作为学生代表，在发言中深情回顾了在学院的求学历程，分享了从初入校园的青涩到今日即将启程的从容，感恩学院的培养和师长的指引，并表示将不负所学，以医者初心践行使命担当。她代表全体毕业生郑重承诺：将不负所学，以医者初心践行使命担当，无论身在何处，都将用实际行动守护人民健康、服务社会发展。
Zhou Zhen, a student representative from the 2024 Master of Public Health cohort, delivered a speech reviewing her learning experience at the college. She shared her journey from youthful timidity upon enrollment to poise at graduation, expressing gratitude for the college’s cultivation and teachers’ guidance. She pledged to live up to her education and fulfill her mission with the original aspiration of a medical practitioner. On behalf of all graduates, she solemnly promised to apply professional knowledge to practice, uphold the commitment of medical workers, and dedicate themselves to protecting public health and serving social development wherever they go.
公共卫生院长、公共卫生硕士专业负责人杨国静作为教师代表，在寄语中回顾了与同学们共同度过的一段段难忘时光，对大家在学业上的刻苦钻研和在临床实践中的认真投入给予了高度评价。最后，勉励毕业生们以专业立身、以仁心待人，在未来的工作岗位上继续秉持西英精神，做有温度、有担当的卫生健康事业接班人。
Yang Guojing, Dean of the School of Public Health and Programme Leader of the Master of Public Health programme, delivered a speech on behalf of the faculty. She recalled the unforgettable time spent with the graduates and highly praised their diligent academic research and dedicated clinical practice. Finally, she encouraged all graduates to uphold professionalism and benevolence, carry forward the UWEC spirit in their future careers, and grow into responsible and compassionate successors in the field of public health.
海南医科大学副校长曾敏在总结讲话中向全体毕业生致以诚挚祝贺。她表示，同学们是西英格兰学院发展的见证者和参与者，也是学校教育国际化进程的重要组成部分。她对毕业生们提出三点希望：一是打牢医学专业基础，在各自领域深耕不辍，始终保持严谨的态度面对每一个生命和每一次诊疗；二是继续拓宽自身国际发展视野，立足自贸港，放眼全球，在中外融合中锤炼专业能力；三是坚守初心、持之以恒，不因一时挫折动摇本心，在压力中守住底线、常怀善意。
Zeng Min, Vice President of Hainan Medical University, delivered a concluding speech and extended sincere congratulations to all graduates. She stated that the graduates are witnesses and participants in the development of the University of the West of England College, as well as an important part of the university’s international education progress. She put forward three expectations for the graduates. First, consolidate professional medical foundations, devote themselves to in-depth research in respective fields, and always treat every life and medical diagnosis with rigorous attitudes. Second, broaden international vision, base themselves on the Free Trade Port and embrace the world, and polish professional competence through Chinese and foreign integration. Third, stay true to the original aspiration and persevere, never waver in the face of temporary setbacks, uphold professional ethics and maintain kindness under pressure.
仪式最后，师生代表共同切开毕业蛋糕，甜蜜与温情在会场中流淌。全体毕业生与师长、嘉宾在镜头前合影留念，定格了属于2026届西英硕士学子的难忘瞬间。
At the end of the ceremony, faculty and student representatives jointly cut the graduation cake, filling the venue with warmth and sweetness. All graduates took group photos with teachers and guests, freezing the unforgettable moments of the 2026 UWEC master’s cohort.
