这个暑假，海南医学院来自巴基斯坦、加纳、摩洛哥等国家的留学生们与中国学生一起组成“医暖东方”三下乡团队，前往海南省东方市，开展以“乡村振兴走基层，情系东方一路行”为主题的实践活动，通过义诊、心肺复苏培训、支教等方式感受海南自贸港基层医疗体系建设与美丽乡村。
This summer, international students from Pakistan, Ghana, Morocco and other countries at Hainan Medical University formed the “Medical Warmth for Dongfang” Three‑Going‑to‑the‑Countryside team together with Chinese students. They travelled to Dongfang City, Hainan Province and carried out practical activities themed “Going to the Grassroots for Rural Revitalization, Devoting Affection to Dongfang All the Way”. Through free medical consultations, CPR training, volunteer teaching and other activities, they experienced the construction of grassroots medical‑care system and beautiful countryside in Hainan Free‑Trade Port.

近日，海南医学院从培养“仁心医者”的高度出发，以提升国际医学生综合素养为目的，在东方市感城镇中心卫生院设立国际学生医学人文教育实践基地。该实践基地的创建不仅让留学生们有机会亲身参与社会实践、社区服务和志愿者活动，还让留学生们切实感受到中国新农村建设成果，为学生们搭建了一个全方位、多层次的交流合作平台。
Recently, with the goal of cultivating “compassionate medical practitioners” and improving the comprehensive quality of international medical students, Hainan Medical University set up an international‑student medical‑humanities‑education practice base at Gancheng Town Central Health‑Center in Dongfang City. The establishment of this base enables international students to take part in social practice, community service and volunteer activities in person, helps them witness the achievements of China’s new‑rural construction, and builds an all‑round, multi‑level platform for exchange and cooperation.
“三下乡”团队组织第一附属医院的医疗专家队在感城卫生院进行义诊活动。同学们利用课堂上学到的知识，给专家们打下手，给病人量血压，建档案，研究病例，听专家讲解，并跟随医院医生及领导，体验基层医生工作的具体事务。
The Three‑Going‑to‑the‑Countryside team organized a medical‑expert group from the First Affiliated Hospital to deliver free medical services at Gancheng Health‑Center. Drawing on knowledge acquired in class, students assisted experts by measuring patients’ blood pressure, establishing medical files, studying medical cases and listening to experts’ explanations. They also followed local doctors and administrators to experience day‑to‑day work of grassroots medical workers.
“专家义诊是一种重要的医疗资源下沉方式，不仅能够为乡村居民提供专业的诊疗和咨询，还能够提高基层乡村医生的专业水平和医疗质量。通过这种方式，乡镇居民们在家门口就可以享受到优质医疗资源。”国际教育学院副院长颜时姣向留学生们讲解道。
“Free clinics run by experts constitute an important way to bring high‑quality medical resources down to grassroots communities. They not only provide professional diagnosis, treatment and consultation for rural residents, but also improve the professional competence and service quality of village doctors. In this way, township residents can access premium medical services right at their doorsteps.” Yan Shijiao, Vice‑Dean of the School of International Education, explained to international students.
“我们深切地感受到了中国基层医生的奉献精神和责任感，也感受到了中国基层医疗体系的不断发展。这些都是与中国政府、医疗单位和社会各界的支持与合作分不开的。”来自加纳的龚荣乐说。
“We deeply feel the dedication and sense of responsibility of Chinese grassroots doctors, as well as the continuous development of China’s grassroots medical‑care system. All these are inseparable from the support and cooperation of the Chinese government, medical institutions and all sectors of society.” said Gong Rongle from Ghana.
“今天跟着我们的老师来到感城这个地方义诊，能够帮助当地的人，我觉得非常有意义。希望以后，我也可以为海南自贸港建设做出贡献。”来自巴基斯坦的刘畅说。
“Taking part in the free‑clinic activity in Gancheng together with teachers and helping local people means a lot to me. I hope I can also contribute to the development of Hainan Free‑Trade Port in the future.” said Liu Chang from Pakistan.
