As the first semester of the 2024‑2025 academic year comes to a successful close, the Student Affairs Office of the school of International Education would like to take this chance to express our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you. The diligence, enthusiasm, and perseverance you have demonstrated over the past few months are truly admirable. Whether it was your active participation in the class or your outstanding performance in extracurricular activities, you have added countless wonderful moments to this semester. In order for us to have a safe, healthy, and enjoyable holiday, as we leave school and return home, our dormitory, which serves as our cozy home in campus life, also requires our careful attention. Therefore, please take note of this pre‑holiday winter break safety departure reminder.

Student Safety Departure Reminder
1.整理个人物品
1. Organize personal belongings
离校前做好衣物、被褥等个人物品防尘防护。被褥、衣物整齐叠放收纳进柜子，或收纳至真空收纳袋。检查走廊，收回晾晒在外的衣物，避免遗失或遗留。不要在走廊堆放个人物品，防止堵塞消防通道。
Before leaving school, ensure that your clothes, bedding, and other personal items are protected from dust. Neatly fold and store your bedding and clothes in cabinets or roll them up into vacuum storage bags. Check for personal items in the hallway, and bring back any clothes that are hanging out to dry to prevent loss or forgetting them. Do not store personal items in the hallway to avoid obstructing fire exits.
2.彻底打扫宿舍
2.Conduct a thorough cleaning of the dormitory
离校前彻底清扫宿舍，保持环境整洁有序。及时清理水果、零食等易变质物品以及各类垃圾，防止食物腐败、产生异味以及滋生细菌。
Before leaving, clean the dormitory thoroughly to maintain cleanliness and order. Promptly dispose of any perishable items such as fruits and snacks, as well as any remaining trash, to prevent food spoilage, odors, and bacterial growth.
3.注意关闭水电设施
3.Pay attention to turning off utilities
离开宿舍前全面检查，关闭所有电器开关，拔掉电源插头。关好卫生间水龙头，避免发生漏水事故。
Before leaving the dormitory, conduct a comprehensive inspection to ensure all electrical switches are turned off and power cords are unplugged. Check that the bathroom faucets are closed to prevent water damage.
4.确保门窗关好
4.Ensure doors and windows are properly closed
冬季天气寒冷，最后离开宿舍的同学务必检查全部门窗是否关闭。门窗如有损坏无法闭合，请及时报修。确认一切安全后锁好宿舍门，并带走钥匙。
In the cold winter weather, the last student to leave the dormitory should check that all doors and windows are closed. If any doors or windows cannot be closed properly, report for repair in a timely manner. After confirming everything is secure, lock the dormitory door and take the key home.
5.贵重物品随身携带
5.Take valuable items with you
注意个人财物安全，妥善保管笔记本电脑、手机、现金等贵重物品。银行卡、身份证件、学生证等重要证件随身携带，柜子上锁，避免财物丢失。
Pay attention to the safety of your personal belongings and properly store valuable items such as laptops, mobile phones, and cash. Carry important documents like bank cards, ID cards, and student IDs with you, and lock your cabinets to prevent loss of property.

1.宿舍安全

遵守宿舍管理规定，未经许可不得留宿外来人员。
Adhere to dormitory management regulations and do not accommodate outsiders without permission.
注意个人财物安全，妥善保管贵重物品。
Be mindful of personal property safety and store valuable items properly.
禁止使用电水壶、电煮锅、电卷发棒、电热毯、取暖器等违规电器。
Do not use prohibited electrical appliances such as electric kettles, electric cooking pots, electric curling irons, electric blankets, or heaters.
离开宿舍关好门窗、切断水电。
Lock doors and windows and turn off utilities when leaving the dormitory.
严禁使用蜡烛等明火，防范火灾事故。
Prohibit the use of open flames,such as candles,to prevent fire accidents.
尽量不要夜间独自外出；确需外出请结伴而行，注意人身安全。
Avoid going out alone at night; if necessary, go with others and be cautious of your safety.
保持宿舍卫生，定期打扫。
Maintain dormitory hygiene and clean regularly.
留意宿舍水电运行情况，出现问题及时上报。
Pay attention to the dormitory's power and the water supply, and report any issues promptly.

▲ Recently, there have been outbreaks of norovirus infections in several areas. Students should pay attention to personal hygiene and take precautions.

熟悉学校应急联系电话与处置流程。
Be familiar with the school's emergency contact numbers and procedures.
备好常用药品，应对轻微身体不适。
Prepare some common medications to deal with minor illnesses and discomforts.
