Safety Tips for International Students
1/签证、居留许可
VISA and Residence Permit
根据出入境相关政策要求，国际学生须在居留许可到期前一个月到出入境申请办理延期，请同学们一定打开自己的护照，再次核查自己的居留许可到期时间，如即将在一个月内过期，须及时找辅导员办理。
According to the relevant immigration policies, international students are required to apply for an extension at the immigration office one month before the residence permit expires. Please check the expiration date of your residence permit again. If it is going to expire within one month, please contact your counsellor as soon as possible.
2/人身安全
Personal Safety Guidelines
严禁私自前往江、河、湖、海等自然水域游泳，此类区域存在暗流漩涡、水草缠绕及陡坡滑坡等隐蔽风险，极易引发溺水事故。
Do not swim in rivers, lakes, seas, or other natural water bodies. These areas pose hidden dangers such as undercurrents, entanglement in aquatic plants, and slope collapses, which can easily lead to drowning incidents.
禁止进入未开发景区、废弃建筑、施工场地、山体陡坡等危险地带，避免因地质灾害或设施坍塌造成伤害。
Do not enter undeveloped scenic spots, abandoned buildings, construction sites, steep mountain slopes, or other hazardous locations. Stay clear of geological hazards or structural collapses that may cause injuries.
夜间避免独自前往偏僻街道、野外山区，建议结伴出行并保持通讯畅通。
Refrain from walking alone on deserted streets or in wild mountainous regions after dark. Travel in groups and ensure your communication devices are functional.
避免前往人员复杂、秩序混乱的酒吧、KTV、夜店等场所，此类环境存在治安隐患及疫情传播风险。
Steer clear of bars, KTV lounges, nightclubs, or similar venues with complex crowds and chaotic environments. These places may pose security risks and increase the likelihood of disease transmission.
出行前检查门窗水电，确保宿舍财产安全，晚间请按时返校。
Ensure the safety of dormitory property by checking doors, windows, water, and electricity before leaving. Return to campus on time in the evening.
长途旅行选择正规交通工具，全程系好安全带，拒绝乘坐超载车辆。
Choose official transportation services for long‑distance travel. Fasten your seatbelt at all times and avoid overcrowded vehicles.
保持手机电量充足，如需离开海口务必向辅导员报备行程，遇突发情况及时拨打110/120请求帮助。
Keep your mobile phone sufficiently charged. If you need to leave Haikou, inform your counselor of your itinerary. In case of emergencies, call 110/120 for assistance immediately.
3/财物安全
Personal Property Safety
不要将姓名、身份证号、信用卡号、银行卡号、网络密码、二维码或者其他私密信息告诉他人。
Do not reveal your name, ID number, bank card number, internet account password, QR code or other private information to others.
防止金融诈骗。警惕冒充国家机关工作人员、银行工作人员、公司客服人员，通过电话、网络和短信等方式，设置骗局，诱导打款或转账的犯罪行为。如碰到类似情况，请及时拨打110报警处理。
Beware of financial fraud. Watch out for scammers impersonating government staff, bank employees or corporate customer service agents who trick victims into making payments or transfers via phone, online platforms or text messages. Call 110 promptly if you encounter such situations.
4/交通安全
Traffic Safety
严格遵守交通法规。
Strictly abide by traffic laws and regulations.
校内外不允许使用摩托车和大功率的电动车。
Motorcycles and high‑power e‑bikes are not allowed either on or off campus.
绝不允许将电动车和电动车电池带到宿舍内充电。
E‑bikes and their batteries are strictly forbidden from being brought into dormitories for charging.
5/宗教活动
Religious Activity
请各位同学在《中华人民共和国境内外国人宗教活动管理规定实施细则》指导下开展宗教活动。在校园等公共场所，不能从事传教、不能组织宗教集会等活动、不允许散发宗教宣传品。
Please carry out religious activities in accordance with the Rules for the Implementation of the Provisions on the Administration of Religious Activities of Aliens within the Territory of the People's Republic of China. Proselytizing, organizing religious assemblies and distributing religious promotional materials are prohibited on campus and other public places.
6/禁止毒品
Anti‑Drug
在中国，任何涉毒行为都将会受到法律的严厉惩罚。包括走私、贩卖、运输、制造、非法持有、提供、吸食或注射毒品，强迫、引诱或欺骗他人使用毒品等等。
Any drug‑related act in China will incur severe legal penalties, including smuggling, trafficking, transporting, manufacturing, illegal possession, supply, ingestion or injection of drugs, as well as coercing, luring or deceiving others into drug use.
