The 2026 China International Consumer Products Expo has come to a successful close. At this global event that connects the world and showcases the open image of the Hainan Free Trade Port, nearly 50 young volunteers from UWEC (SIE) of HNMU were selected to participate. With enthusiasm and practical action, they fulfilled their duties in five key posts—Publicity, Passport, Franchise Operation, Ticketing, and Supervision. Their professional competence and youthful vitality won wide acclaim, and through teamwork they gained growth and cherished friendships. This serves as a vivid example of the College Youth League Committee's commitment to the educational philosophy of “strengthening foundations and cultivating character,” deeply integrating ideological education with social practice. It is also a living practice where young students temper their sense of responsibility and deepen their patriotism on the front lines of the Free Trade Port construction.

展会期间，全体志愿者始终保持昂扬状态，以严谨态度落实每一项工作，用真诚服务回应每一份需求。宣传组用心传递消博精彩动态，助力展会风貌传播；护照组实现“零差错”兑券、流程规范；特许经营组耐心服务中外游客，精准对接商品咨询与引导；门票组坚守岗位、高效核验，有序维护现场秩序；监管组认真履职，为展会规范运行筑牢保障。
Throughout the expo, all volunteers maintained a spirited demeanor, carrying out every task with a rigorous attitude and responding to every need with sincere service. The Publicity Group diligently conveyed the expo's highlights, helping to spread its vibrant image; the Passport Group achieved “zero mistakes” voucher redemption and standardized procedures; the Franchise Operation Group attentively served domestic and international visitors, precisely addressing product inquiries and guidance; the Ticketing Group stood firm at their posts, efficiently verifying tickets and maintaining orderly site discipline; the Monitoring Group performed their duties conscientiously, providing a solid guarantee for the expo's standardized operation.
作为学院国际化办学的青年代表，志愿者们充分发挥语言优势，以流利标准的英语从容迎接每一位外国客户，精准解答咨询、顺畅对接需求，打破语言沟通壁垒。他们用专业的外语服务向国际友人展现中国青年的开放与自信，也在一次次跨文化交流中深刻体会到自贸港作为国家开放高地的蓬勃活力。
As youth representatives of the College's international education programs, the volunteers fully leveraged their language skills, confidently greeting every foreign visitor with fluent and standard English, accurately answering inquiries, and seamlessly addressing needs—breaking down language barriers. Through their professional foreign-language service, they demonstrated the openness and confidence of Chinese youth to international friends, and in each cross-cultural exchange, they deeply experienced the dynamic energy of the Free Trade Port as a national highland of openness.
每日早起的奔波、高强度的忙碌、久站后酸胀的双腿，平均每天1.5万的步数记录着付出，却无人退缩。志愿者们始终以微笑迎宾客、以耐心解难题，用实际行动践行“奉献、友爱、互助、进步”的志愿精神，收获参展嘉宾与工作人员的一致好评。在他们看来，这不仅是一次志愿服务，更是一堂行走在自贸港最前沿的“大思政课”——在服务中读懂国情、在坚守中磨砺意志、在岗位中练就本领。
The early morning commutes, intense busy schedules, and sore legs after long hours of standing—with an average of 15,000 steps per day, their efforts were recorded, yet none flinched. The volunteers always greeted guests with smiles and resolved difficulties with patience, embodying the volunteer spirit of "dedication, friendship, mutual assistance, and progress" through practical actions, earning unanimous praise from exhibitors and staff alike. In their view, this was not merely a volunteer service, but "a great real-world civic education" taking place at the forefront of the Free Trade Port—understanding the national context through service, tempering willpower through perseverance, and honing skills through hands-on duties.

Forging Bonds through Collaboration, Strengthening Character in the Collective Crucible
这场短暂却充实的志愿之旅，纵有奔波与辛劳，却成为每位志愿者成长路上的珍贵印记。那些原本局限在书本里的认知，因为这场盛会打开了边界：接触来自世界各地的客商，第一次直面多元文化的碰撞；沟通中主动调整表达、化解语言与习惯的差异；面对突发问题学会快速反应、灵活协调，在一次次解决难题中积累经验。展会结束时回头看，那些曾让自己紧张忐忑的场景，已化作从容应对的底气。
This short yet fulfilling volunteer journey, despite its hustle and toil, has become a precious milestone on each volunteer's path of growth. The boundaries of knowledge once confined to textbooks were expanded by this grand event: engaging with merchants from around the world, experiencing multicultural encounters for the first time; proactively adjusting expressions and bridging differences in language and customs during communication; learning to respond swiftly and coordinate flexibly when faced with unexpected issues, accumulating experience through each problem solved. Looking back at the end of the expo, those scenes that once made them nervous have now have now become a source of confidence to handle challenges with ease.
更可贵的是，原本在学校里互不相识的同学们，因为一场志愿活动熟络起来。休息时一起逛展打卡、收集徽章；累时互相递一瓶水、加油打气；清晨一起抬头看天边圆乎乎的日出，被那股蓬勃的生命力治愈。有同学感慨：“路途中的一切，有些与我擦肩而过从此天各一方，有些便永久驻进我的心魂，雕琢我，塑造我，锤炼我，融入我而成为我。”真正雕琢大家的，正是和这群可爱的同学们一起认真付出、彼此温暖的日子。这些细碎的瞬间，把看似枯燥的工作酿成了甜甜的回忆。
What is even more precious is that classmates who barely knew each other on campus became close friends through this volunteer activity. During breaks, they explored the expo together, collected badges; when tired, they passed each other a bottle of water and cheered one another on; in the early mornings, they looked up together at the round sunrise on the horizon, healed by its vibrant vitality. One student reflected: “Some things along the journey pass me by and drift away forever; others settle permanently in my soul, carving me, shaping me, tempering me, merging into me and becoming me.” What truly shaped them was the time spent with these lovely classmates, giving their all and warming each other's hearts. These small moments turned seemingly tedious work into sweet memories.
