雷海新,男,汉族,中共党员,博士,海南医科大学基础医学院教授,博士生导师。现任西英格兰学院(国际教育学院)行政负责人。曾获评省级优秀博士论文指导教师及省级优秀研究生导师。兼任中国生物化学与分子生物学学会RNA专业分会委员、中国抗癌协会整合肿瘤学分会委员、中国科学院大连化学物理研究所科技伦理委员会委员等职务。在中国科学院生物物理研究所、瑞典卡洛琳斯卡研究所、英国南安普顿大学、德国癌症研究中心和美国哈佛大学医学院从事科研多年。曾任美国哈佛大学医学院/口腔医学院博士后协会联合主席,美国哈佛医学院中国专家学者联合会主要创办人以及第一届理事会主席。主要致力于RNA生物学研究,主持3项国家自然科学基金项目,在Nucleic Acids Res等学术期刊发表论文30余篇。
Lei Haixin, male, of Han ethnicity and a member of the Communist Party of China, holds a doctoral degree and is a Professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Basic Medical Sciences of Hainan Medical University. He currently serves as Administrative Head of the UWE College (School of International Education). He has been honored as a Provincial Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Supervisor and a Provincial Outstanding Postgraduate Supervisor. He also serves as a member of the RNA Division of the Chinese Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, a member of the Integrative Oncology Branch of the Chinese Anti-Cancer Association, and a member of the Science and Technology Ethics Committee of the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has conducted scientific research for many years at the Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences; the Karolinska Institute in Sweden; the University of Southampton in the U.K.; the German Cancer Research Center; and Harvard Medical School in the United States. He previously served as Co-Chair of the Postdoctoral Association of Harvard Medical School / Harvard School of Dental Medicine, a principal founder of the Harvard Medical School Chinese Scholars and Scientists Association, and Chair of its first Board of Directors. His research focuses on RNA biology. He has led three projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and has published more than 30 papers in academic journals such as Nucleic Acids Research.
