The First International Cultural Festival of Hainan Medical University
11月25‑26日，我校隆重举办第一届国际文化节。文化节以“共享华夏文明魅力 展示‘一带一路’风情”为主题，开展了国际学生十佳歌曲比赛、开幕式、文艺汇演、主题游园会等丰富多彩的活动。
From November 25 to 26, our university grandly held its First International Cultural Festival. With the theme “Sharing the Charm of Chinese Civilization, Showcasing the Customs of the Belt and Road”, the festival featured a rich variety of activities including the Top‑Ten International‑Student Singing Contest, opening ceremony, artistic performance and themed garden fair.
我校党委常委、副校长李现红在开幕式上致辞。她表示，推动共建“一带一路”和自由贸易港建设的战略联动，是海南以及海医发展的重大机遇和职责使命，通过充分利用国际化交流平台，不断扩大对外开放，深化与“一带一路”共建国家的交流合作。2023年是习近平总书记提出“一带一路”倡议十周年的重要历史节点，在这个特殊的历史节点上，我校举办国际文化节，旨在讲好中国故事，展示中国文化的博大精深和丰富多彩，让同学们感受中国的历史和文化底蕴。
Li Xianhong, Member of the University Party Standing Committee and Vice‑President, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony. She stated that promoting strategic linkage between the Belt‑and‑Road Initiative and Free‑Trade‑Port construction represents a major opportunity as well as a mission for Hainan and Hainan Medical University. By making full use of international‑exchange platforms, the university will continuously expand opening‑up and deepen exchanges and cooperation with Belt‑and‑Road partner countries. The year 2023 marks the 10th anniversary of the Belt‑and‑Road Initiative proposed by General Secretary Xi Jinping. At this special historical moment, the university hosts the International Cultural Festival to tell authentic Chinese stories, demonstrate the profound and rich Chinese culture, and enable students to experience China’s historical and cultural heritage.
活动现场吸引了上千名中外嘉宾和师生，气氛如火如荼，热闹非凡；线上图片直播也备受瞩目，累计40万次浏览观看。学生代表JAHANGIR MUHAMMAD SHAHZAIB（刘思明）说，国际文化节展示了国际学生眼中的中国文化和海南风情，以及各自国家的特色文化节目，希望加深和可爱的中国人民、中外朋友们的友谊与文化交流。
The on‑site event drew thousands of Chinese and foreign guests, teachers and students amid a lively atmosphere. The online photo live‑stream also attracted wide attention, accumulating 400 000 views. Student representative Jahangir Muhammad Shahzaib (Liu Siming) remarked that the festival presented Chinese culture, Hainan local customs from international students’ perspective as well as distinctive cultural performances from their home countries. He hoped to deepen friendship and cultural exchanges with friendly Chinese people and friends from all over the world.
开幕式前夜，“‘一带一路’音韵远航”国际学生十佳歌手在学校子文体育馆展开决赛，十名优秀的国际学生通过汉语、英语及本国语言，歌唱着心中对中国的热爱和对故乡的思念。
On the eve of the opening ceremony, the final of the “Belt‑and‑Road Melodies Sailing Far” Top‑Ten International‑Student Singer Contest took place at Ziwen Gymnasium. Ten outstanding international students sang of their affection for China and longing for their homelands in Chinese, English and their native languages.
文艺汇演活动精彩纷呈，一开场，中国龙鼓表演打出响亮的第一声，传递出团结奋进的精神力量；舞龙队舞出了龙的力量与龙的精神。
The artistic gala presented splendid performances. It kicked off with powerful Chinese dragon‑drum beats embodying the spirit of unity and striving. The dragon‑dance troupe brought out the power and spirit of the dragon.
海南民谣《久久不见久久见》唱出海南风情与海南人民的热情，观众沉浸在海南风情魅力之中。舞蹈《山灵》通过朱红的化身，带领中外学生进入“山灵护野，属御方神”的意境。中外学生共同参演的《陈氏太极拳》将太极拳蕴含着阴阳循环、天人合一的中国传统哲学思想挥洒在一方舞台之上。中外大学生和小朋友们还带来了《将进酒》《题西林壁》《六月二十七日望湖楼醉书》等中国传统经典诗歌朗诵。
The Hainan folk song Long Time No See expressed local charm and the hospitality of Hainan people, immersing the audience in Hainan’s unique culture. The dance Mountain Spirit led Chinese and foreign students into the artistic conception of mountain deities guarding the wilderness. Chen‑style Tai Chi, jointly performed by Chinese and foreign students, interpreted traditional Chinese philosophical ideas of yin‑yang circulation and harmony between man and nature on stage. Chinese and foreign college students together with children also delivered recitations of classic ancient Chinese poems including Invitation to Wine, Writing on the Wall of West‑Forest Pavilion and Drunken Writings at Wanghu‑lou on the 27th Day of the Sixth Lunar Month.
9个国家的学生服装秀《Ramp Walk》展示出自己国家的传统服饰，展现出青春的活力。而19个非洲国家的留学生，热情洋溢、能歌善舞，带来活力四射的《非洲鼓》。巴基斯坦和印度的歌舞秀把现场气氛推向高潮，展示了团结勇敢的民族精神和历史悠久的传统文化。来自兄弟院校海南大学的国际学生则通过《圆舞曲》展现了浓郁的柬埔寨文化。
The “Ramp Walk” fashion show featured traditional costumes from nine countries, brimming with youthful vitality. International students from 19 African countries gave the energetic African Drum Dance. Song‑and‑dance shows by Pakistani and Indian participants pushed the atmosphere to a climax, showcasing courageous national spirits and time‑honoured traditions. International students from sister‑university Hainan University presented Waltz, demonstrating rich Cambodian culture.
最后，中外学子以歌曲《遇见自贸港》《相亲相爱》描绘出青春自贸港的未来蓝图。
Towards the end, Chinese and foreign students sang Meeting the Free‑Trade Port and We Are One Family, depicting a promising future for the youthful Hainan Free‑Trade Port.
“多彩文化奇妙行”主题游园会活动，来自将近三十个国家的中外学生在展位上秀出各国特色文化与当地美食。师生们手持活动专属“护照”，可尽情打卡各国展位，开启异域文化和美食之旅。巴基斯坦、印度、印度尼西亚以及非洲等国家的特色小吃吸引了众多美食爱好者；中国区域的中医医学、针灸推拿、书法作品、器乐团、汉服体验等，则让众多喜爱中华优秀传统文化的爱好者前往打卡。
During the “Wonderful Tour of Diverse Cultures” themed garden fair, Chinese and foreign students from nearly thirty countries displayed their distinctive cultures and local delicacies at booths. Teachers and students held event‑specific “passports” to visit different booths for a cross‑cultural food and cultural journey. Special snacks from Pakistan, India, Indonesia and African nations attracted many food‑lovers. The Chinese‑culture zone drew crowds with traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture‑tuina, calligraphy, instrumental music performances and Hanfu‑wearing experiences.
首次国际文化节隆重举办，增进了不同文化之间的对话与交流，促进了多元文化融合，也增进中国人民和“一带一路”共建国家人民之间的理解与信任，深化了各国青年学子的交流和友谊，共同推动人类文明发展。
The grand first‑ever International Cultural Festival enhanced dialogue and exchanges among diverse cultures, promoted multicultural integration, strengthened mutual understanding and trust between Chinese people and peoples of Belt‑and‑Road partner countries, deepened friendship among young students worldwide, and jointly advanced the development of human civilizations.
